my "Frankenkit" is a set i've pieced together over the years using both vintage and new gear. i'm moving to a smaller apartment and am no longer able to keep it. the following is what's for sale:

- 3 raised toms with stand ( really old toms with sparkly blue decorations )
- 1 floor tom with legs
- 1 snare with stand
- high hat cymbals with stand
- 1 beautiful 20" "Paiste" ride cymbal with stand
- 1 vintage crash/ride with stand ( it has no logo or text on it anywhere, sounds great )

- 1 kick drum with pedal. i think it's a 24"

everything has heads and is ready to go. i have several different drum pieces that i change out every once in a while, so, if you wanted to buy the kit with a different tom or snare instead of the ones i had put together, i would happily let you take your pick.

1981 Yamaha XT500 Enduro Thumper Dual Sport XT 500

Up for sale is my 1981 Yamaha XT500. It is in original condition as far as I can tell. That means that all of the parts are original. I have owned this bike for 4 or 5 years and pretty much just used it around town. It has 12K miles on it, which is not too bad considering the bike is over 27 years old.

The pictures show the condition. This bike starts on the first kick for me everytime, has tons of torque, Runs and rides great, Goes through all the gears great. It could use some cosmetic TLC; but as far as running: it will get it down the road. You don't have to pop the clutch to do a wheelie; just crank back on the throttle. Anyone Looking at this auction; You know the rest of the story on these XT500's.

I did not see any dings in the tank at all. The seat appears to be orinigal. The exhaust is complete including the heat shield and the spark arrestor, (sounds a little loud to me). The tires are original and in decent condition. You may not ever find a better example of an original XT. It is not perfect and is not advertised as perfect: Remember, this bike is over 27 Years old, so do not expect a new motorcycle. It is what it is. If you look at the pics; you will see both Side Covers missing. I still have one, The battery side I think; but can't find the other side. (Also, The battery fell out when I was riding it without the cover on it, May need a new one anyway).

Obviously I can not describe every single scratch, scrape, rust spot, etc on a bike over 27 years old; so, please expect a used bike; not a New bike.

Our 96 Ford Contour, teal in color and new WV inspection sticker died this past Friday. The motor blew up.....we had been given inaccurate info as to what had been wrong with the car and found out a little too late that the only problem was a weak oil pump that finally bit the bullet and literally blew the motor. Are we ticked? Yep, we are, but we can't do anything about it now, next time we will know to trust our instincts instead of listening to a mechanic that can't know everything, lol....we are all human.

So now, we have a teal Contour that we loved, with the following new parts on the motor and body....

New plugs and wires
New timing belt
New Water pump
New Altenator belt
New front Rotors
New brakes all the way around
New Fuel Relay in the trunk
New Struts all the way around
New Wheel axles in the front
New CV joints
New front wheel bearings
New Tie Rod Ends

All of this was replaced before we went on vacation to Florida in 2007.

Body of the car:

The tires have plenty of wear left in them...

The front end was totally replaced when dear husband hit a deer on his way to work last fall.... so, it has a new fender, new grill, new bumper, and new paint job on the front end flared to meet the paint at both front doors.

There is only one little rust place on the body where the previous owners child grazed it with their bike. It's just surface....

The gas lid is only opened through a button inside the car and one release in the trunk....this would prevent gas theft.

The interior of the car is in excellent shape, there are no tears or holes. The air bags are intact.... cruise control, automatic door locks, that can also be used with a key. The seat belts all work, the only thing that needs replaced inside is the middle back seat seat belt buckle. We used our car seat in the middle and the buckle became wedged so Dear husband had to take the buckle apart.

This car would be a wonderful car, you can get a motor and transmission for under $1000 if you wanted to fix it. This would be a great project for a young man who's taking auto classes..... the trunk is huge, our son had a special designed speaker box that he wanted to put in the trunk and it easily fit and still had space to spare...although the speakers would have probably blown away anything we put in the trunk, lol.

The transmission does work, it just slips now and then....so it may not even need replaced at all just maybe minor work.

We are only asking $400 for this vehicle and would like to find a new home for it in the next four weeks as it will quickly go downhill just sitting. Folks, its just too good of a car to let sit or take to the junk yard....

The money from this car will be greatly used in getting dear husbands truck done.... his motor blew up in it too, that's how we knew too late that it was the oil pump....
