1989 16ft. V-bottom Grumman boat
1987 LoadRite boat trailer with new rims, tires and bearing buddies; spare tire included. Nothing pretty but it’s roadworthy and tagged.
1999 Johnson 50hp motor, runs like a 1999 2-stroke Johnson motor - see accompanying videos with compression test
MotorGuide foot control Trolling motor of unknown year, it was on the boat when I got it. Works well enough to pull me around the small, battery only, lakes.

The boat is in good shape for a 30+ year old boat with a nice size functioning live-well. The main problem I have with the boat is the owner before me replaced the motor and I don’t care for the way the boat handles with a 50hp motor - I believe it is only rated for a 40hp motor. If you watch the accompanying videos, you will see with the motor trimmed all the way down, the rooster tail appears to splash water over the back of the boat. I did not realize this before I bought the boat as I bought it off the internet as well. With the motor trimmed up (see accompanying videos) you can see the rooster tail does what it is supposed to and the boat runs like it is supposed to. However, you can only trim the motor up a few degrees before the boat starts to porpose. The reason I think it’s supposed to only have a 40hp motor is one day when cleaning the boat, I found a rusted out tag that had 40hp written on it, down in the bilge. I am assuming that it pertains to this boat, however it was rusted so bad that the only thing legible on the tag was the 40hp. Take a look at the compression test, you can see that the internals of the motor appear to be in good functioning condition.
The little boat has never left me stranded, it always brings me home. Bear in mind you are looking at a 30 year old fishing boat, and yes it bears the scars of years of use. It has dings and dents and blood stained floors. Basically it is an ugly fishing boat. I thought I would like a small boat to putt around in the shallows, but I just don’t care for a smaller boat.
$3500; may trade for a newer sport utility vehicle with low hours and low miles with cash on our end; or an enclosed trailer, 16-20ft in good solid roadworthy condition.
