Need help getting some messy freeloaders out of my house. We moved into our new house in October. Builder couldn't put a plastic cage piece over the dryer vent according to code because it could trap lint and become a fire hazard. I guess the birds that took up residency in there didn't get the fire hazard tweet. I have the plastic cage piece to connect to the vent but the problem is that it's about 25 feet off the ground and I don't have an extension ladder. Even if I had the extension ladder I wouldn't be plucky enough to climb up there to get rid of the nest and cover the vent myself. If I was meant to be off the ground like that I'd have my own feathers. Anybody out there with a ladder that could evict these fellas one evening and snap the cover piece on to keep them from coming back?
